Sarah and Gavin's Wedding at Ely Cathedral and Swynford Hotel
18/10/11 15:55
Congratulations to Sarah and Gavin on their wedding day on Saturday 15th October 2011. The wedding took place at magnificent Ely Cathedral, my second visit here for a wedding this year. The drinks reception and dinner took place at the Swynford Hotel, a regular wedding venue for me set in stunning gardens, is still a top choice for many couples on their wedding day.
The day kicked off with the boys at Gavin's house in Witchford, then on to meet Sarah at her parents just down the road in Aldreth. The timing could not have been more perfect, both the Bride and Groom were running to perfect time, allowing me to capture all those important photographs. We headed for Ely Cathedral for a 2pm ceremony. This Cathedral is just stunning and as usual there was a fair share of tourists as we had the most beautiful sunshine and blue skies, unlike the week before that was typically autumnal. After a few family shots we headed over to the Swynford Hotel, just south of Newmarket. I love photographing weddings here as there are loads of great places for wedding photography and the light on Saturday was to die for... Enjoy the highlights

Janice and Ian's Wedding at Quy Mill Hotel Cambridgeshire
14/10/11 12:59
Congratulations to Janice and Ian on their wedding day on Saturday 8th October 2011. The wedding took place at Quy Mill Hotel, which has recently been totally refurbished. The inside has completely changed, so much so I thought I was at a different venue!! Quy Mill is a lovely intimate cambridge wedding venue in beautiful surroundings.
It was lovely to photograph Janice and Ian's wedding. Janice booked me as I had photographed her sons wedding (Brett and Cassie) only last year and she was delighted with the results. The preparations, ceremony and reception took place at Quy Mill. Even though the weather was typically autumnal we got some lovely photographs of the happy couple. We were able to take the family pictures inside thanks to the refurbished lounge at Quy Mill. The day went really well and Janice and Ian looked so happy together. I am looking forward to show them the whole selection. Enjoy the highlights

Georgie and Oliver's Wedding at Pine Cliffs, Albufeira Portugal
20/09/11 22:44
Congratulations to Georgie and Oliver on their wedding day on Saturday 17th September 2011. The wedding took place at the stunning Sheraton at Pine Cliffs resort in the Algarve, Portugal. I took my good friend and fellow professional photographer Phil Lynch with me to photograph this very special wedding in Portugal. Phil and I took the photographs together on the day from Georgie's preparations right through to the dancing in the evening.
We flew out to Faro, Portugal on the Thursday before the wedding, so we could check out the venue the day before. Its stunning location has the most amazing setting with beautiful cliff tops and the best view of the sea. It was fantastic to have guaranteed sunshine - blue skys from 7am till 7pm and hot at 27 degrees! The wedding day started with the girls getting ready while Phil was with the boys. The ceremony took place outside under pine trees over looking the ocean. We had pre arranged to go to the beach with the bridal party and got some stunning shots in a few other locations around the gardens and hotel; we were so spoilt for choice. Georgie and Oliver are such a great couple and are a joy to photograph... the wedding finished with the lighting of chinese lanterns and a big party in the beach bar.... Congratulations once again and thanks so much to Phil for his help and company. Enjoy the highlights

Emily and James's Wedding in Thriplow and Sheene Mill Cambridgeshire
12/09/11 09:46
Congratulations to Emily and James on their wedding day on Saturday 10th September 2011. The ceremony took place at the Church in Thriplow Cambridgeshire where James grew up. His parents still live in the village and I photographed his sister's wedding in the same Church. The reception took place where I grew up in Melbourn... The Sheene Mill is a beautiful quintessential hotel with loads of character. Set in very pretty surroundings it is the perfect wedding venue in Cambridgeshire for intimate weddings.
I met up with James and the boys at his parents house in Thriplow where they were enjoying the Rugby, shame I had to interrupt them for photos! I then headed over to Sheene Mill where Emily was getting ready with her bridesmaids. Emily wore a stunning Ian Stewart wedding dress and she looked absolutely amazing. She was then driven in style by Paul of Runhams Cars in a beautiful Bentley to the church. The ceremony was lovely, all you could see was beaming smiles from both Emily and James! After a few family photographs at the church we went back to Sheene Mill for the drinks and dinner reception. Luckily the weather held for us to do some wedding photographs of the happy couple in the beautiful gardens. Enjoy looking through the highlights....

Joanna and Dominic's Wedding in Cambridge and Anglesey Abbey
04/09/11 07:16
Congratulations to Joanna and Dominic on their wedding day on Saturday 3rd September 2011. The ceremony took place at St Andrew the Great, central Cambridge followed by a drinks and dinner reception at the stunning National Trust property Anglesey Abbey. Set in over 100 acres of stunning natural beauty Angelsey Abbey was built around 800 years ago and is an amazing setting for wedding photography. This stunning wedding venue is well worth a visit any time of year just to see its spectacular gardens.
The day started at Hotel Du Vin, in central Cambridge where Joanna was getting ready and was assisted by her two beautiful bridesmaids. I arrived early to photograph all the little details, and then met up with Dominic for some shots of the boys. We headed to the Fitzwilliam Museum just across the road from the Hotel which gave some interesting angles and architecture for the photographs. I walked round to the church as everyone knows parking and driving in Cambridge is becoming almost impossible. Even though the service was a little delayed it was perfect, with the most amazing choir who performed perfectly for this very special day. Joanna and Dominic left for the reception by horse and carriage followed by the guests in a vintage London bus. After a few family photos everyone mingled in the rose garden for drinks and ice cream whilst we took some beautiful photographs of the happy couple. I am so pleased the weather was kind for this amazing couple, it could not have been any better! Enjoy looking through the highlights....

Elizabeth and Siôn's Wedding at St Johns College Cambridge and Longstowe Hall
30/08/11 09:46
Congratulations to Elizabeth and Siôn on their wedding day on Sunday 28th August 2011. The ceremony took place in the beautiful chapel at St Johns College Cambridge followed by drinks and dinner reception at my favourite wedding venue in Cambridgeshire, Longstowe Hall. Longstowe Hall is a privately owned family home, set in the wonderful English countryside providing the most romantic setting for beautiful wedding photography.
Elizabeth and Siôn were both graduates at Cambridge University and decided to get ready in College. So I met up with Liz first for the detail photographs before meeting with Siôn and the boys. There are so many wonderful photographic opportunities at St Johns College, and I felt so spoilt for choice! Everything was running perfectly to time which gave me the chance for some great pre wedding shots. The service was stunning with amazing performances given by the Choir and solo by Allan Clayton. We then headed over to the Masters Garden for drinks, a few family photographs and to listen to the Choir, who sang A cappella. We then made our way over to the other side of college for some couple photographs before they headed over to Longstowe Hall, in a classic Bentley driven by Paul Runham. A warm welcome greeted the happy couple at Longstowe, followed by a downpour, which only lasted about 15 minutes. After the rain, the light was exquisite allowing for some great wedding photography around the stunning gardens. I stayed right through for the speeches and first dance, which captured the whole spirit and different emotions of the day. Hope you enjoy looking though the highlights....there are quite a few!

Laura and Andrew's Wedding at Ely Cathedral and Ickworth House, Suffolk
30/08/11 08:45
Congratulations to Laura and Andrew on their wedding day on Saturday 27th August 2011. The ceremony took place at the magnificent Ely Cathedral followed by drinks and dinner reception at the West Wing at Ickworth House. This has to be the grandest of wedding venues in Suffolk, set in acres of unspoilt countryside, this beautiful Grade 1 listed building was built over 200 years ago and has only been available for weddings in suffolk for the last 5 years.
Laura got ready at her parents home in Exning near Newmarket where I arrived nice and early for some detail shots. After she and the girls arrived back from the hairdressers I got some great getting ready photographs and a few with the bridesmaids and parents. I was a little late leaving the house, but managed to make good time for some photographs of Andrew and the boys before they got too busy with the guests. Being a holiday weekend the Cathedral was busier than usual with tourists, all who were in for a big treat with such a stunning wedding taking place! Laura was fashionably late, and arrived in style with her father. The ceremony went perfectly, but I was a little worried about the weather as it had forecast rain for the afternoon. Fortunately it held off for just long enough to do the family photographs at the Cathedral. On the 30 minute journey over to Ickworth House, it poured with rain. On arrival I was greeted by Colin, a great toastmaster who often looks after weddings at Ickworth and between us considered the very changeable weather! God was kind to us as I managed to get some wonderful shots with the car just before it rained again. The bad weather quickly passed and we were blessed with beautiful summer sunshine for the rest of the afternoon, giving Laura and Andrew the chance to get some lovely wedding photographs around the stunning grounds of Ickworth House. I hope you enjoy looking through the highlights....

Sara and Clem's Wedding at Great Wilbraham Hall Farm, Cambridgeshire
30/08/11 08:22
Congratulations to Sara and Clem on their wedding day on Friday 26th August 2011. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at a beautiful privately owned wedding venue in Cambridgeshire, Great Wilbraham Hall Farm. This secluded venue is set in wonderfully calm and picturesque surroundings making it great for wedding photography.
I started with the boys who stayed at the Swynford Hotel the night before which is just a 5 minute drive from the farm. I then went over to Newmarket to meet with Sara and the girls who were getting ready at one of Sara's friends house. Sara was very relaxed and was ready in plenty of time for some photographs of her, the girls and her daughters who were bridesmaids. I then headed on to the Farm to get some informal shots of the guests. Sara arrived shortly after even though a little late in a beautiful vintage Rover. After the ceremony we started the family photos, during which the heavens opened, which in fairness was forecast. We actually saw the rain heading our way, in one massive black cloud! It must have rained for a good hour, but this did not phase Sara or Clem one bit, and we got some amazing shots of this fantastic couple. Despite the weather everyone managed to have a great time at this very intimate wedding. Please enjoy looking through the highlights of the day.....

Donna and Jamie's Wedding at Swynford Hotel, near Newmarket Suffolk
22/08/11 20:06
Congratulations to Donna and Jamie on their wedding day on Saturday 20th August 2011. The wedding ceremony took place at St Mary's Church in Haverhill, followed by the reception at one of the most popular wedding venues in the area, Swynford Hotel in Six Mile Bottom just outside Newmarket.
The happy couple and Donna's parents live in Haverhill so all the prep shots were nice and close together. I paid Jamie a visit and got some cool shots of the boys in an overgrown field just behind their house and then headed over to meet the bride and the girls. Donna had six bridesmaids and two flower girls, so it was busy to say the least! Fortunately everyone was running to time which allowed for some great photographs before leaving for the church. I can't remember the last time the bride was on time, but Donna was bang on time, she was obviously very keen.... After the ceremony we took some family shots at the church and then went over to Swynford Hotel for drinks and some wedding photographs of the couple. I had a fabulous time photographing this wedding, Donna and Jamie make such a lovely couple. Please enjoy looking through the highlights of the day.....

Clare and James's Wedding in Hadleigh, Suffolk
18/07/11 15:14
Congratulations to Clare and James on their wedding day on Saturday 16th July 2011. The wedding took place at the stunning St Mary's Church in Hadleigh, Suffolk. The day continued back and Clare and James's residence, nearby in Suffolk.
I photographed James's brothers wedding a couple of years back, so I was delighted to be asked to photograph Clare and James's wedding, its so lovely when you know more than just the couple at a wedding. The day started with Clare and the girls who got ready at home in Hadleigh...and she looked stunning in her bridal gown. I went on to the Church to get some shots of James and the boys and despite the pouring rain got some great shots undercover at the front of the church. Clare arrived in style by horse and carriage, and luckily it was fully covered... After photographing the family shots in church, the rain eased and on arrival at the reception we had about an hour of fine weather and even the sun shone for a few minutes. This gave us the opportunity of getting some great images of the happy couple before dinner. Enjoy the highlights!

The day continued at one of my favourite wedding venues, Hintlesham Hall in Suffolk for the drinks reception and dinner.
Shirly and Des's wedding was a very small and intimate celebration. They both got ready at the Angel Hotel in the town before leaving for the registry office just a few moments away. We then headed off to the beautiful Abbey Gardens which were very busy as the weather was particularly nice, a real English summers day. After some family photos and some couple portraits we headed back to Hintlesham Hall. After a great photography shoot in the grounds, Shirly and Des changed into evening wear for their drinks reception and dinner. The happy couple fly back to their residence in Shanghai in China in the next few days. Enjoy the highlights!

Susie and Will's Wedding in Essex
07/06/11 10:14
Congratulations to Susie and Will on their wedding day on Saturday 4th June 2011. The wedding took place at a private residence in Essex.
Susie and Will planned a garden party for their wedding and the weather could not have been kinder! Even though it was breezy the sun shone for most of the day. The wedding took place in a small village church, and the drinks reception was followed by lunch catered by Chimneys caterers. There was lots of children at the wedding who enjoyed playing on the bouncy castle and splashing around in the water feature whilst the adults chatted with Pimms on the lawn. The wedding was a joy to photograph and I really had a great time, so I am really looking forward to showing the happy couple the rest of the photographs when they return. Enjoy the highlights!

Toni and David's Wedding at Tattersalls, Newmarket Suffolk
31/05/11 07:15
Congratulations to Antonia and David on their wedding day on Sunday 29th May 2011. The wedding ceremony , drinks and evening reception all took place at the famous Tattersalls in Newmarket, a unique and first class wedding venue in Suffolk.
Usually Tattersalls in Newmarket is all about buying horses at auction, famous because its the largest of its kind in Europe and the oldest in the world, which is part of why Newmarket is so well known. Tattersalls is such an interesting venue and so very picturesque making it ideal for taking great wedding photographs. Everything took place nearby, with David and the boys get ready at the Rutland Arms Hotel in Newmarket, and Toni at the other end of the High Street, where she and the bridesmaids prepared for the big day at her parents home. The weather had been fairly cold the day before, but certainly warmed up and we even had a good share of sunshine for this amazing wedding. Enjoy the wedding photographs...
There will be more photographs to see in a day or two - as I am busy working on them now....!

Lydia and Tom's Wedding at Downing College and Anstey Hall, Cambridge
05/05/11 15:01
Congratulations to Lydia and Tom on their wedding day on Saturday 30th April 2011. The wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful setting of Downing College, Cambridge which is one of my favourite colleges in Cambridge. The drinks and evening reception took place just a short distance away in Trumpington at Anstey Hall, a privately owned 17th century country house making this a very exclusive wedding venue in Cambridgeshire.
After all the excitement of the Royal wedding the day before I was feeling very inspired about photographing Lydia and Toms wedding day. The weather had been so kind for Will and Kate, I was delighted the sun shone all day on Saturday. It was pretty windy but I would rather that the thought of rain! I met up with Tom and the boys early for some shots at Downing College, before heading over to Anstey Hall for Lydia's preparations. Everything was so calm and well organised. The wedding took place in the chapel at Downing College which is simple and stunning. After the family photographs we took a few shots of the couple around Downing College and then headed back to the reception at Anstey Hall. Everyone had a great time catching up during the drinks reception in the beautiful English sunshine. Looking forward to getting all the images ready for Lydia and Tom on their return from honeymoon.

Sue and Wayne's Wedding at South Farm, Hertfordshire
30/04/11 08:16
Congratulations to Sue and Wayne on their wedding day on Thursday 28th April 2011. The wedding ceremony , drinks and evening reception all took place at South Farm, near Royston in Hertfordshire, a very popular wedding venue in Hertfordshire
Celebrating their special occasion just one day before the Royals in London, Sue and Wayne celebrated with a small and intimate wedding service and reception at South Farm. I haven't been here for sometime and wow what a venue. It's had some refurbishments and improvements both inside and out and is a beautiful and idillic place for a wedding celebration. Sue wore a very elegant wedding gown and the boys were very smart in their tails with green cravats. After the ceremony at 3pm, which Sue was a little late for - just to keep Wayne on his toes, we took some great shots in the gardens of South Farm. The weather was good as the rain held off, and it even warmed up later in the afternoon. I hope you enjoy the wedding photography taken on the day...

Liz and Lionel's Wedding at Swynford Hotel, Suffolk
11/10/10 21:09
Congratulations to Liz and Lionel on their wedding day on Saturday 9th October 2010. The wedding ceremony , drinks and evening reception all took place at Swynford Paddocks, now known as Swynford Hotel, a very popular wedding venue in Suffolk.
Everything happened at the hotel for Liz and Lionel’s special day. The weather was very warm for the time of year, and stayed dry all day. I met the couple well over a year ago and had the pleasure of photographing them with their daughters who made fabulous bridesmaids along with a couple of Liz’s friends. It was also great to see some other familiar faces as the best men, Daryl and Bruce used to live just a few doors from me when I still lived with my parents. After the ceremony we had plenty of time for photos, and took some great shots around the grounds of the venue. I really enjoyed this wedding as I find civil ceremony’s at one location far more relaxed! Can’t wait to show all the pictures to this great couple....
All the images will be ready to view and order just as soon as Liz and Lionel have seen all the photos....if you want to be notified when they are available please give us your name and email address by clicking here.

Mark wins the photographer category for Cambridge Velvet Magazine awards
07/10/10 13:27
I was delighted to receive the news that I have been awarded “First for Photography” in this years Velvet Magazine awards. I also won the category last year when the Magazine was called NKTBE, which covered Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Velvet magazine was launched about a year ago and was for the Cambridge area, but now the publications have merged and Velvet magazine now covers Cambridge, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds.
In October’s edition the magazine featured the wedding of a lovely couple whose wedding I photographed at Audley End House. Just click on the image below to download a version you can read....
Thanks to all the readers that voted for us, and to Andy at Velvet Magazine.

Sarah and James' Wedding in Wimbish and Leez Priory, Essex
25/09/10 19:35
Congratulations to Sarah and James on their wedding day on Saturday 25th September 2010. The wedding ceremony was in the village Church in Wimbish, just outside Saffron Walden, and the reception took place at Leez Priory, a beautiful wedding venue, set in the heart of the Essex countryside.
Yesterday I was very concerned about the weather as it was raining and really windy all day, so I am so glad the weather held for Sarah and James. It was a bit cold, but at least no rain! James stayed at the Swan in Thaxted the night before, so I met up with him and the lads for a few pictures first. Sarah got ready at her parents house in Wimbish. I photographed Sarah’s sisters wedding a few years ago, so it was lovely to see some familiar faces. Anyway, the ceremony was perfect and we all headed over to Leez Priory shortly afterwards. Set in wonderful grounds and stunning gardens, Leez Priory is a fantastic wedding venue with lots of opportunities for great wedding photography... It was a pleasure to photograph this wedding and I hope you like the photographs.

Hannah and John's Wedding at Buckden Towers and Longstowe Hall, Cambridge
21/09/10 07:58
Congratulations to Hannah and John on their wedding day on Saturday 18th September 2010. The wedding ceremony was at the Catholic Church at Buckden Towers, and the reception took place at Longstowe Hall, Cambridge’s most beautiful wedding venue.
I met up with John and the boys at Wyboston Lakes Hotel, where they had stayed the night before. After a few pics here I went over to meet with Hannah at her parents house in Buckden. Hannah looked stunning, as did the bridesmaids with the beautiful Autumn tones of the dresses and flowers. The church was only a few minutes from the house and we all enjoyed a very light hearted ceremony conducted by a lovely and amusing priest, if only all clergy were like him ;-). Anyway after a few family photos we left for Longstowe Hall, a privately owned mansion house in Cambridgeshire. Whilst the weather did get rather gloomy I got some lovely photos of the happy couple and a few informals of the guests. Cant wait for Hannah and John to see all the shots when they are back from honeymoon.

Hannah and Daniel's Wedding in Cottenham and Longstowe Hall, Cambridge
13/09/10 07:57
Congratulations to Hannah and Daniel on their wedding day on Friday 10th September 2010. The wedding ceremony was at All Saints Church, Cottenham and reception took place at Longstowe Hall, Cambridge’s most beautiful wedding venue.
The day started with Daniel and the boy’s at his mums house in Cambridge. Although it was raining we managed to get some cool shots before I went to meet with Hannah who got ready at her Mums in Over. Fortunately the weather gave in and cleared up, a relief for Hannah as she was quite concerned about it! After the preparations I took some lovely shots of the girls before going to the Church. After the ceremony we took some family shots and then moved on to Longstowe Hall. Even though it wasn’t sunny, we got some great photos. It is actually better for photography if the sun is not shining as you do not have to worry about the harsh shadows the sun can cause, and the fact that people squint a lot when its too bright! Anyway please enjoy the preview when it goes live.....

Rosalind and David's Wedding at Longstowe Hall, Cambridge
06/09/10 13:51
Congratulations to Rosalind and David on their wedding day on Sunday 5th September 2010. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at Longstowe Hall, Cambridge’s most beautiful wedding venue.
Ros got ready at her friends house in Swaffham Bulbeck. She wore the most beautiful Ian Stewart wedding gown and looked stunning. After a few shots of Ros, I headed over to Longstowe Hall and met with David before the ceremony. The marriage takes place inside the very historic Longstowe Hall, such a romantic setting with beautiful lighting and wonderful works of art on the walls. The ceremony was very light hearted with some entertaining readings and a wonderful acoustic performance by one of the guests. Drinks and canapes were served while we took some great shots around the grounds. Wedding photography is always such a joy at Longstowe as there are lots of places to take great photographs. This was a lovely wedding and I can’t wait to show Ros and David all the pictures soon.

Congratulations to Hayley and Ian on their wedding day on Saturday 4th September. The wedding took place at All Saints Church, Gt Thurlow with their reception at one of Suffolks finest wedding venues, Swynford Paddocks.
After some pretty miserable weather over the bank holiday, everyone was please to see some warmer, calmer weather! I met up with the boys at the church early for some team photos so they could get a drink it at the local before the wedding. Hayley got ready at her parents home in Haverhill. With shoes by Jimmy Choo, an Ian Stewart dress, and fragrance by Vera Wang, she looked a million dollars! Although fashionably late for the service, everything went without a hitch. After a few family photos we headed on to the reception for a drinks and some creative wedding photographs around the grounds. The light was lovely and soft and got some fabulous shots. Can’t wait for them to see all the shots when they are back from their honeymoon.

Emma and Steve's Wedding at Woodhall Manor, Woodbridge, Suffolk
28/08/10 13:28
Congratulations to Emma and Steve on their wedding day on Thursday 26th August. The whole wedding, from Emma and Steves preparations through to the reception took place at Woodhall Manor a delightful wedding venue, near Woodbridge in Suffolk.
August has been a strange month weather wise. On Thursday it rained, then drizzled and stopped then rained again... but the weather wasn’t going to stop Emma and Steve enjoy their stunning wedding at this beautiful wedding venue. In addition I wasn’t going to let a little rain get in the way of capturing some great wedding photographs for this lovely couple. The grounds are just stunning and everywhere you look there are photo opportunities. The rooms that they got ready in were very stylish and enabled some nice indoor window lit portraits. After the ceremony we did some family and friends pictures as well as some more creative shots of the couple, using the gardens at Woodhall Manor. Cant wait to show them all the photographs from the day.

Gemma and Ashley's Wedding in Stapleford and Longstowe Hall, Cambridge
22/08/10 09:15
Congratulations to Gemma and Ashley on their wedding day on Saturday 21st August. The wedding ceremony took place at St Andrews Church, Stapleford. Drinks, canapes, beautiful wedding photographs, dinner and a big party were on the cards at the reception. The most stunning cambridgeshire wedding venue, Longstowe Hall, Cambridge.
The preparations for both Gemma and Ashley were a stones throw apart in Sawston, which made a welcome change. The wedding ceremony was just down the road in Stapleford, a lovely church with very pretty grounds. Fortunately there was plenty on room at the front of the church for me to get some discrete shots during the important moments. After a few family pictures at the church, we left for Longstowe Hall. This private wedding venue has the most stunning gardens and photo opportunities, which is why I love working here. Gemma and Ashley had a great day and were so lucky with the weather, although it was quite breezy we did not see one drop of rain, surprising considering the forecast was heavy rain! Anyway enjoy the preview...

Nicola and Adam's Wedding in Hartford and at Longstowe Hall, Cambridge
16/08/10 08:40
Congratulations to Nicola and Adam on their wedding day on Friday 13th August. The wedding ceremony took place in All Saints Church, Hartford just outside Huntingdon. After the wedding ceremony we headed back to my favourite cambridgeshire wedding venue, Longstowe Hall, Cambridge.
The day started for me photographing all the details at Nicola’s parents house in Hartford. Then across town I went over to meet with Adam and the boys. After a few shots here it was back to Nicola for some portraits of her, the bridesmaids and parents. Even though the heavens opened, there was a small window of opportunity when the sun came out. The weather was changeable to say the least! After a lovely ceremony we managed to get the family photos done at the church. There was too much chance of being rained off later I wanted to get them done whilst it was dry, even then a few brolly holders were required! We then left for Longstowe Hall. This venue is so lovely with so many places for couple photos, inside and out, it really doesn’t matter what the weather is doing. Having said that the sun shone for this lovely couple. We got some amazing pictures and I hope you enjoy the preview....

Amelia and Gregor's Wedding in Barking and Hintlesham Hall, Suffolk
11/08/10 07:54
Congratulations to Amelia and Gregor on their wedding day on Sunday 8th August. The wedding ceremony took place in St Mary’s Church, Barking just outside where Amelia grew up in Suffolk. After the wedding ceremony we headed back to one of my favourite wedding venue’s in Suffolk, Hintlesham Hall near Ipswich.
I met with Gregor and the boys at Hintlesham quite early on for some shots with him, the best man, and some of his good friends who were all dressed in uniform for the occasion. Amelia got ready at her parents home in Suffolk, where she grew up, so her home was very special for her. The church was one of the oldest I have seen, set right back from the road with pretty trees all round. After a lovely ceremony the happy couple came out under the guard of honour and then we headed back to Hintlesham Hall. I took some great pictures in and around Hintlesham Hall whilst we waited for the guests to arrive. This was followed by drinks, a few family pictures and then dinner. The weather was very kind staying dry and sunny and warm. A perfect summer wedding.

Sharon and Mark's Wedding at Hanbury Manor, Hertfordshire
11/08/10 07:43
Congratulations to Sharon and Mark on their wedding day on Saturday 7th August. The wedding ceremony and reception all took place at the beautiful hertfordshire wedding venue, Hanbury Manor near Ware.
The last time I photographed a wedding at Hanbury Manor was about 10 years ago, so I was really pleased to be going back there. It has so much character, in such a stunning setting, with a fantastic golf course too! Sharon and Mark both got ready here, and breaking with tradition we did some pictures of them both before the wedding too. There ceremony wasn’t until 4.30pm, which was just as well, as there was plenty of rain between 2 and 4... Sharon and Mark’s children were a big part of the day and everyone looked fantastic as either bridesmaids or best men. The whole wedding was very relaxed and everyone a joy to work with, especially the happy couple.....

Congratulations to Cassandra and Brett on their wedding day on Saturday 31st July. The wedding ceremony took place in the Village of Cheveley near Newmarket, with the reception at a lovely local wedding venue, Swynford Paddocks, in Suffolk.
After a few downpours in the morning, the weather was very kind to Cassandra and Brett for their wedding day. I met Brett at his Mum’s house in Burwell, literally a stones throw for me... After a few shots of him and the best men I went over to Newmarket where Cassandra was getting ready. This must be a first, as she was completely ready when I arrived, which made a welcome change! The ceremony was in Cheveley, which I was familiar with as I had photographed a wedding here only a few weeks earlier. We headed straight back to Swynford Paddocks afterwards to photograph the family groups and for some photographs of the happy couple. Everyone had a lovely day and I am looking forward to showing them all the photos when they return from their honeymoon.

Congratulations to Giovanna and Costa on their wedding day on Sunday 25th July. The wedding ceremony took place in at St Joseph’s catholic church in St Neots, just outside Huntingdon with the reception at one of my favourite wedding venues, Longstowe Hall, Cambridgeshire.
I met up with Costa and his Best man at a hotel nearby which stood near an industrial estate. It was great to get some sharp lines into the photography to create some really funky shots of Costa. Next I went round to see Giovanna who looked absolutely stunning even before she had her wedding gown on!! After taking some beautiful photographs here I left for the church. The service was lovely and took place in one of the most colourful churches I have seen, so perfect for the happy couple. Soon after we went on to the stunning reception venue, Longstowe Hall, which is delightful. I photographed the family groups here and took some wonderful romantic shots of Giovanna and Costa in the beautiful surroundings of this privately owned home. I Can’t wait for them both to see all the shots.... until then...

Farah and Oliver's Wedding in Cheveley and Bedford Lodge, Suffolk

Congratulations to Farah and Oliver on their wedding day on Saturday 10th July. The wedding ceremony took place in Cheveley, a little village just outside Newmarket with the reception at one of my favourite wedding venues, the Bedford Lodge Hotel, Newmarket Suffolk.
The day started at Oliver’s mum’s home in Cheveley, such a pretty house just set back from the church. After doing a few photographs here, I headed over to meet Farah who was getting ready at the Bedford Lodge. Farah had her two lovely bridesmaids to help her get ready, although I found myself helping too!! It was great to bump into Tolly who is a fantastic florist who always pulls out all the stops for his couples. The ceremony was at 2pm and Farah arrived in style in the most amazing Rolls Royce. After a few family pictures at the church, we headed back to the reception for some lovely couple photographs and drinks. A beautiful summers wedding on a beautiful English summers day...

Louise and Matt's Wedding in Welwyn and Theobalds Park, Hertfordshire
04/07/10 11:57
Congratulations to Louise and Matt on their wedding day on Saturday 3rd July. The wedding ceremony took place at a beautiful church in Ayot St Peter, Old Welwyn, Hertfordshire. The reception was also in Hertfordshire at the very historic mansion house wedding venue, Theobalds Park near Cheshunt.
I met up with Matt and the lads at his Mums house in Stevenage on another scorcher of a day, especially for England! Matt had a beautiful Aston Martin to drive to the church, so I just had to get some shots with the car. I then went on to Louise’s parents, just across town where her and all the bridesmaids were getting ready. I got some great pictures of the girls before heading over to the church. This has to be one of the most beautiful churches I have seen, just so different and set in lovely gardens.... After the service we go on to Theobalds Park, a wonderful mansion house set in enormous parkland. There was some great photo opportunities with some lovely grounds, so I can’t wait to show the new Mr & Mrs all the shots when they return from honeymoon.....

Congratulations to Louise and Adam on their wedding day on Friday 2nd July. The wedding ceremony was at St Mary and St Botolph in Whitton, Ipswich. They celebrated at the wonderful Suffolk wedding venue, the Belstead Brook, Hotel also in Ipswich.
The day started for me with the boys at Adams parents house, although a slight hitch with shirt sizes meant we were a bit delayed. At 25˚c at 10.30am it was going to be hot hot hot! Across town at Louise’s parents house the girls we pretty much ready and I got some lovely shots inside as well as in the garden. After a lovely service we took a few group shots and then headed on to the reception. Having photographed Jade and Danny’s wedding here already, I knew we would get some great shots of the happy couple around the hotel. Can’t wait to show them all the shots when they are back.....

Rachel and David's Wedding at the Doubletree Hotel, Cambridge
23/06/10 14:18
Congratulations to Rachel and David on their wedding day on Saturday 19th June. The whole wedding including Rachel and David’s preparations, the ceremony and reception took place at the lovely cambridge wedding venue, the Doubletree by Hilton, in the heart of Cambridge.
I arrived early to photograph all those little details I just love to include in the final album, the dress, shoes, perfume, the rings and flowers etc. Rachel was very chilled out and actually wondering what to do with herself!! Then after taking some shots of David and the lads, with and without beers, the ceremony followed at 2pm. We took the groups inside, as the weather was a bit on the chilly side, however we did manage to get some great shots of the happy couple in the hotels beautiful gardens.

Congratulations to Elisa and Danny on their wedding day on Friday 21st May. The wedding ceremony took place at the St. Etheldreda Church, Newmarket Suffolk followed by the reception at the Bedford Lodge Hotel, in Newmarket Suffolk.
What a scorcher! I met with Danny and the boys at the Bedford Lodge in the morning before heading over to Kennet where Elisa was getting ready at her parents house. After taking some great shots of Elisa with her parents and bridesmaids, I left for the church. Elisa got to the church on time, but her bridesmaids didn’t! They were about 10 minutes late...so we waited. Father Michael gave a lovely service and the church looked amazing filled with sunshine. Everyone headed back to the Bedford Lodge for the reception where we took some family photos, and great shots of Elisa and Danny together. I had a great time and really enjoyed everyone’s company!

After a lovely ceremony we headed over to Much Hadham, where Wills parents were hosting the reception with a marquee. Congratulations to Sara and Robert on their wedding day on Saturday 8 May. The wedding ceremony took place at All Saints Church, St Ives in Cambridgeshire followed by the reception at the Bedford Lodge Hotel, in Newmarket Suffolk.
Sara and Robert had an amazing wedding day despite the erratic British weather! The wedding photography started in Bluntisham at Robert’s parents house with shots of the boys, before moving over to Brampton to capture Sara and the girls. Everyone looked fabulous for this very special occasion. It was great to see Sam again, a very talented makeup artist from Cambridge. Even though Sara was fashionably late for the Church, everything went without a hitch! Back at the hotel, we managed to get some great photographs inside and the reception room looked nothing short of stunning.

The weather was just as you would expect the perfect October day, crisp, still and sunny! Shelly got ready with her bridesmaids at the hotel and Tim arrived nice and early so I could do some great photographs before the wedding. The ceremony room was decorated with little candles and a black and white theme with the seating. All the guests enjoyed a drinks reception afterwards before going through for dinner in the stunning marquee. Enjoy the preview!

Traveling from Cambridge meant that I left quite early and ended up at Notley Abbey at 10am! Still I much prefer to be early and given the fine weather it was lovely to wonder round and search for photographic locations. Both Sara and Chris got ready at Notley Abbey, which made my job easier to catch all the preparations. The ceremony went really well and we were able to take most of the photos outside. The close-up magician was fantastic leaving everyone guessing “just how did he do that?” After the group photo everyone went through to dinner which was set in a beautiful 13th century stone barn (originally the Monks' Refectory) preceded by the speeches. It certainly looked like everyone, especially the happy couple had a fabulous time...Enjoy the preview.

Laura got ready at her parents house in Hempstead which was also the venue for the reception, with a fabulous marquee in the garden. Laura looked absolutely stunning in her simple but elegant wedding gown. After a lovely ceremony at St Andrews Church, just down the road, we came back to Hill Farm for drinks, canapes and photos. I got some lovely shots of the happy couple in the grounds as well as indoors using the lovely big window on the stairs....Enjoy the preview!
The images will be available to view and purchase from our on line shop from 3rd October. If you were a guest and have any questions just call 01638 601571 or email me. We allow the couple to see all the pictures first - so please bookmark this page until then!

The day started for me with Tom and the boys at his parents house in Ely. After a few fun shots in the neighbour’s garden I headed over to Bluntisham where Caroline’s parents live for the preparations. Caroline looked fantastic in her beautiful Ian Stewart wedding dress and beautifully complimented by her gorgeous bridesmaids. The happy couple met when they were at Kings School together, which permits a wedding ceremony at the Cathedral. As you will see from the preview the Cathedral is absolutely stunning, and the perfect place to marry. After a few family photos we headed to a wedding venue called The Red Barn just outside Downham Market in Norfolk. This old barn has loads of character and with all the tables dressed and candles lit it feels so romantic. The speeches were some of the best I have seen, with so much humour, there was lots of laughter that resonated round the barn. Enjoy the preview!
The images will be available to view and purchase from our on line shop from 25th September. If you were a guest and have any questions just call 01638
