Face of Cambridge Competition Winner 2011 announced
I am delighted to officially announce the 2011 winner of our very popular competition - The Face of Cambridge. Rosa Dama from Milton in Cambridgeshire was selected to win this very exciting and exclusive competition. I visited Louise Cummings, Editor of Cambridge Style magazine earlier in January for her to select her favourite image, and choose the Face of Cambridge. “Each year I I really look forward to January when we judge the Face of Cambridge” said Louise “Marks photography just gets better each year and the range of entrants makes choosing the winner a real challenge. With her delicate features, porcelain skin, slick bobbed hair and svelte frame she is definitely model material and her classic look instantly stood out.”
Rosa win’s a beautiful piece of wall art of her favourite image worth £500, as well has gracing the front cover of the February issue of Style magazine and a feature article inside. Style magazine is Cambridge’s leading high quality fashion orientated monthly publication is available FREE in many outlets across Cambridge.
We are now looking for the Face of Cambridge 2012. For just £30 you will have a professional make up session and hair-styling, followed by a fashion shoot. £15 of this fee is donated to Breast Cancer.

SWPP convention 2012 - teaching Adobe InDesign
I have been giving talks and training seminars for many years often talking about running my own business and sharing information of wedding and portrait photography. I wanted to give back something a little different this year, and being a bit if a "techy" I wanted to share my knowledge of a very powerful piece of industry standard design software that has been a part of my workflow for many years.

I love talking to fellow photographers and this annual convention is packed full of people wanting to learn from trainers and teachers with all genres in photography, especially wedding and portrait photography. I gave two talks on designing wedding album pages using Adobe Indesign - both of which were well attended. Covering the basics from creating a new document, to working with your images, creating designs and templates and exporting for print.

Further courses are likely to be run in the form of webinars, basically training on line giving you the opportunity of learning right from your own desk at work or from your own home. If you would like to be kept informed of future courses please email me at mark(at)ashworthphotography.co.uk. Forgive me not posting a proper link - I get so much spam!

Sarah and Gavin's Wedding at Ely Cathedral and Swynford Hotel
18/10/11 15:55 Filed in: Real Life Weddings | Wedding Photography
Congratulations to Sarah and Gavin on their wedding day on Saturday 15th October 2011. The wedding took place at magnificent Ely Cathedral, my second visit here for a wedding this year. The drinks reception and dinner took place at the Swynford Hotel, a regular wedding venue for me set in stunning gardens, is still a top choice for many couples on their wedding day.
The day kicked off with the boys at Gavin's house in Witchford, then on to meet Sarah at her parents just down the road in Aldreth. The timing could not have been more perfect, both the Bride and Groom were running to perfect time, allowing me to capture all those important photographs. We headed for Ely Cathedral for a 2pm ceremony. This Cathedral is just stunning and as usual there was a fair share of tourists as we had the most beautiful sunshine and blue skies, unlike the week before that was typically autumnal. After a few family shots we headed over to the Swynford Hotel, just south of Newmarket. I love photographing weddings here as there are loads of great places for wedding photography and the light on Saturday was to die for... Enjoy the highlights
All the images will be ready to view and order soon....if you want to be notified when they are available please give us your name and email address by clicking here.
